forte e gentile

Am home. Beautiful sweet home. Two very happy dogs.

Between us, Michelle and I have over 2,000 photos of our week in Abruzzo.

All I can tell you in this moment is that the saying goes that people in Abruzzo are forte e gentile* and they are all that and so much more: generous, thoughtful, delightful and just all-around amazing.

The shot above was taken midday of a most extraordinary excursion to Campo Imperatore and Rocca Calascio which if you have ever seen the movie Ladyhawke (a personal favorite of mine)-- is where the monk scene was filmed.

So many stories to share-- I don't know where to begin and my head feels like it is filled with dry ice-- so they will come, but just not in this moment.   As soon as I can-- I will share everything about this most amazing experience of a lifetime.

bisous, e

*forte e gentile = strong & kind
